Tasmanian Whisky Selectors supports selected Tasmanian Distilleries by buying new make spirit from them and aging in various barrels and locations.
Six years ago Tasmanian Whisky Selectors filled their first 20L barrel at Redlands Distillery (now Old Kempton), and that Tawny cask became Tasmanian Whisky Selectors first release. Now having matured it’s second fill beautifully, this cask just keeps on giving. Three and a half years of Launceston Distillery spirit has yielded only 37 bottles at 55%ABV.
Tasting Notes
Great colour, lovely nose and legs. My notes say “Wow!” Fantastic smooth fruity Christmas cake and butterscotch. Toffee and figs, yum.
