Set sail on the River Derwent for a two-hour pre-dinner cruise celebrating World Oyster Day and the best of Tasmanian seafood and whisky.

River Derwent

Tuesday 5th August

Departure time 3.45pm for a 4pm sailing.

Departure Point: Elizabeth St. Pier – near Fish Frenzy.

Aboard the magnificent Cuttlefish vessel, guests will enjoy freshly prepared local fare – including oysters served two ways, seasonal finfish, and artisan bread – all perfectly paired with premium drams from the following Tasmanian distilleries:

Derwent Distillery

Ironhouse – Tasman Whisky

Greenbanks Tas Whisky Co.

Old Kempton Distillery

The crew of Tasmanian Wild Seafood Adventures are multigenerational fishermen and women who have spent years wild harvesting seafood for export all around the world. Bringing the freshly caught seafood together with locally produced whisky is a treat that very few locations can offer.

Distillery representatives will be on hand to pour your whisky and share stories as you take in Hobart’s stunning harbour and sunset views. A real sensory experience and the ideal way to ease into an evening of Tasmanian Whisky Week festivities.

Included:

  • 2-hour cruise experience
  • 4 x 15ml whiskies
  • Seasonal Tasmanian seafood featuring:
    • 6 oysters per person – Kilpatrick and natural
    • Bluefin tuna – sashimi & crudo
    • Market fish – pan fried & aburi

Departure time 3.45pm for a 4pm sailing.

Departure Point: Elizabeth St. Pier – near Fish Frenzy.

Please arrive 15 minutes early and dress to the weather conditions. We have two fully enclosed heated cabins with open plan seating but outside may see our chilly Tasmanian weather, nothing a dram of whisky can’t fix!

Guests are welcome to purchase additional beverages from the onboard floating bar.
